NJSBA Email and Member Data Terms and Conditions

You are being provided access to NJSBA email lists or member contact information because you are a leader in an NJSBA section/committee/division. By accessing this information, you agree to the following:

  1. You may only use member data for NJSBA business associated with the NJSBA section/committee/division that you chair or in which are a leader, such as sharing general information about the section/committee/division or meeting and event notifications.
  2. In every email, you must
    1. clearly identify yourself as the sender and section/committee/division leader;
    2. include a clear subject heading;
    3. convey only appropriate information in a professional, business-like manner; and
    4. provide information that recipients can email you if they do not wish to receive further information from you by email. (You must immediately honor such requests and report any such requests to the NJSBA.)
  3. You may not use member date for personal, commercial or political communications, nor may you sell or share any member data with third parties.
  4. You will take reasonable steps to ensure all information conveyed does not violate any copyright, trademark or other rights of others, is free from any harmful viruses, and is consistent with any applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations.
  5. You will keep member information confidential, store it in password-protected systems, limit access to authorized users only, delete data when no longer needed or your leadership term ends, and report any data breaches immediately.
  6. You will address any questions or report opt-outs and breaches to NJSBA Customer Relations at [email protected].
  7. You are solely responsible for your use of the information and the contents of the messages you convey. Misuse of the information may result in the NJSBA terminating or limiting your future access.
