Airlines

• Bring a passport to check in. Your passport must be valid for six months after the dates of travel. Check the expiration date of your passport and make sure it does not expire sooner. To renew your passport quickly, go to a Passport Agency in person or use the services of a passport expediting company. Passport renewal and urgent travel information.

Badges

Badges must be worn for admission to the Welcome Reception and the President’s Reception. Entrance to the Offsite Dinner at National Palace of Queluz will require a ticket.

Breakfast — registered Hotel Tivoli guests only

A full breakfast is included in your room rate and is available 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Monday – Friday in two locations, lobby level; Restaurant Cervejaria Liberdade and Tivoli Room.

Mobile phones

Be sure to check your phone’s date and time settings and select the option to automatically set the date and time by using network-provided values. If you do not have international calling on your current plan, be sure to contact your service provider to update your plan. Also, note that while most U.S. mobile phones now work overseas, some older models can only be used domestically.

Pica-Pau

Lisboa à noite

Located in one of the entrances of the Bairro Alto, where you can still find a secular well of water and the original Pombaline arches. The menu is full of delicacies of Portuguese inspiration especially when accompanied by some of the best and rarest Portuguese wines.

Lumi Rooftop Bar and Restaurant

Located on the 5th floor, enjoy a delicious contemporary menu from Chef João Silva with spectacular views overlooking Lisbon’s skyline and the Tagus River.

IL Mercato

An innovative restaurant with an internal market that offers a diverse selection of high-quality Italian products, such as fresh organic pasta with organic eggs and an affordable wine cellar to take home.

Electricity

Portugal uses Type C and Type F outlets, both with two round pins. Type F outlets also include grounding clips, and are the most common in Lisbon and across the country. Type C and F plugs are generally interchangeable and Type E plugs (used in France) can also fit Portuguese sockets. The standard electrical voltage is 230V, with a frequency of 50Hz.

Programs

All educational programs for the 2026 Mid-Year Meeting are eligible for CLE credit. You may earn up to 10.8 CLE credits at programs taking place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Program materials will be available online at njsba.com beginning Oct. 9. All programs are sponsored by New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, a division of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

To access materials and submit CLE forms, follow these steps:

2. To access Materials, click on the Materials link and locate your Program
3. To submit CLE forms, click on the CLE Form link and follow the prompts

Tipping

Tipping in Lisbon is appreciated but not obligatory, with small gestures like rounding up the bill or leaving 5-10% for exceptional service being common.

Tours

View all available tours. If you have registered for tours, be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for temperatures between the 60s – 70s. All NJSBA tours depart from the main hotel lobby.

Transfers

It is approximately 20 minutes from Lisbon Airport to Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa. We are pleased to offer private NJSBA group airport transfers to and from Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa. Transfers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for flights arriving at 8:20 a.m. only on October 11 and for flights departing at 10:25 a.m. only on October 17. You may purchase one-way or round-trip transportation. Transfers are $65 each way per person and are non-refundable. The price includes an English-speaking escort to meet you outside customs on arrival, and in the hotel lobby on departure, to assist with the transfer. Private Group Airport Transfers
