Associate Attorney

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced part-time attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contracts, real estate and corporate law and interested in the general practice of law. They must be adept at handling complex legal issues, conducting legal research, and providing clear and concise written and verbal communication. Candidates must be admitted to New Jersey bar and in good standing. Admission to New Jersey bar is required. Admission to New York bar is a plus but is not required.

Vyzas & Associates, PC is a boutique law firm with an active practice in New Jersey and New York with its home office in Jersey City, New Jersey. Its practice includes but is not limited to real estate, condominium law, cooperative association and timeshare law, business and corporate law/litigation, estate planning and estate administration/litigation, municipal tax appeals, commercial and residential real estate/transactional law, land use and zoning law. Vyzas & Associates, PC offers training and mentorship, professional development, direct, dynamic and supportive work environment, direct interaction with clients, attorneys and Courts.

Vyzas & Associates, PC is a preferred law firm for clients of a national document provider and provides services to its customers who have questions as to the legal forms and corporate/LLC kits offered to its clients. Vyzas & Associates, PC is seeking a part-time attorney to handle customers calls for the firm for up to 15-20 hours per week in a hybrid work environment while providing support to other firm clients at other times. The Law Firm has received the highest rating for legal ability and ethical conduct and values its reputation and places utmost importance on maintaining its high standards of professional excellence.

Responsibilities:

-Manage a high daily call volume and diverse caseload.

-Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions and briefs.

-Represent clients in Court and during negotiations.

-Provide strategic legal advice to clients.

-Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

-Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies.

-Ability to handle multiple assignments, ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

-Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

-Active license in New Jersey with no disciplinary action.

-minimum 3 -years of relevant legal experience.

-Strong analytical, research and writing skills.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – fluency in Spanish a plus.

-Ability to manage an active caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently with minimal to moderate guidance.

-High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

-Proficiency in legal research tool and software.

-Detailed oriented professional.
