Job Description:

Cooper Levenson is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team of professionals in Casino Defense Litigation/Employment Law.

RESPONSIBLITIES / DUTIES:
* Assists Attorney in initial case evaluation and development of litigation strategy.
* Represents casino and hospitality clients in employment-related litigation, administrative proceedings, and internal investigations.
* Conducts extensive legal research and drafts correspondences, pleadings, discovery and motions.
* Prepares for and conducts depositions.
* Prepares for and participates in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
* Assists in preparing settlement agreements, motions, and briefs.
* Performs other related duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
* Admission to New Jersey Bar.
* 2-4 years’ experience in Defense Litigation; Casino / Hospitality experience, preferred.
* Strong understanding of Employment Law.
* Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced practice, required.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer software programs.
* Experience with NetDocs and Time Matters, helpful.
