About
The 2025 Family Law Symposium
On Jan. 24 and 25, join hundreds of family law attorneys, judges, paralegals and other related professionals at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick for New Jersey’s premier family law event – the 2025 Family Law Symposium! Reserve your seat today to hear thought-provoking and insightful presentations from many of the state’s leading lawyers and judges, and to network with colleagues and other family law professionals.
This year’s theme is the intersection of family law with other practice areas. No one practices family law in a vacuum. Issues in tax law, estate planning, immigration, bankruptcy, the LGBTQ community and real estate all often come into play in family law cases. This day will focus on the issues family law attorneys need to know in those areas to provide the best possible representation to their clients. It also includes the topics that you depend on, such as the top 10 reported and unreported cases of the previous year, and a panel presented by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML).
Don’t miss out on New Jersey’s top family law event featuring compelling and timely discussions!

Children and Education Advocacy in Family Law
Join us for The Family Law Symposium Friday night seminar.
Few disagreements are as fraught for parents in custody disputes as those involving battles over education. Join John F. DeBartolo as he moderates a panel of family law and education law attorneys and professionals, along with an esteemed judge, who will present a timely and important program packed with information on education advocacy for the family law lawyer. The speakers will discuss applicable federal and state laws, recent case law, the role of educators and practical ways that family lawyers can help their clients obtain the highest quality education for their pre-K through high school children.
