NEW BRUNSWICK – The New Jersey State Bar Association’s Board of Trustees is about to have two new members. A North Jersey labor and employment attorney and a Camden County litigator will fill vacancies created on the board after two members became judges.
John L. Shahdanian II, a partner with Chasan, Lamparello, Mallon & Cappuzzo of Secaucus, and Gregory P. DeMichele, of DeMichele & DeMichele in Haddon Heights, will be sworn in next month.
Shahdanian heads the firm’s employment law department. He has represented both management and employees before federal and state courts, state administrative tribunals and in arbitration. He serves as borough attorney for Northvale and labor counsel for Bergenfield, Dumont, New Milford and Teaneck, and is a frequent speaker for New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He will fill a seat on the board designated for a representative of a NJSBA section or committee. Shahdanian represents the Labor and Employment Law Section and fills a spot created when Christopher Leitner was appointed a Worker’s Compensation judge.

DeMichele is a litigator, devoting the majority of his practice to municipal court, personal injury and family law matters. In addition to the state bar association, he is active with the Camden County Bar Association and American Bar Association. DeMichele is filling a vacancy for a trustee from Camden County created when Linda Eynon became a superior court judge.

Both men will be sworn in at the upcoming Board of Trustees meeting on Feb. 10 at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.
