Why You Should Attend:
This year’s program will advance your knowledge of the application of AI in the Mass Tort space.
1. | Live demonstration of the advancement of AI driven legal research and case analysis. You will witness real time legal research memos and time lines created in minutes. You will also see the latest in transcript digesting technology. This will be followed by a panel discussion examining the application and ethical considerations of this rapidly evolving technology. |
2. | The New Jersey MCL judges will update you on what is happening in the mass torts they are handling and discuss, among other things, the need for 104 hearings, in limine motions, and pretrial submissions. For those who register early you may submit your questions for the judges to consider in advance of the seminar. |
3. | Everything you need to know for mass tort lien resolution. |
4. | Update on the most significant case law affecting the mass tort practice. |
Presented in cooperation with the NJSBA Product Liability and Mass Tort Section
New Jersey recognizes several Mass Tort and Non-Mass Tort Centrally Managed cases that are handled by the Multicounty Litigation Section. There are currently 22 multicounty litigations (MCLs) in New Jersey (from the NJ Courts webpage):
Certain Superior Court Judges have been assigned by the Chief Justice to exclusively manage these cases. The U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey also serves as the Multi District Litigation Court for Elmiron, J&J Talcum, Allergen, Plavix, as well as numerous other state and national class actions.
At this year’s MCL seminar, NJICLE has assembled an esteemed panel of judges as well as leading practitioners to review some of the most recent developments and address the ins and outs of handling multicounty and multi district litigation cases in New Jersey State and Federal Court.
