About the Firm
Josiah Knapp Law, PC is a multi-state general practice law firm with offices in Philadelphia and New York, and expansion underway into Florida. We represent businesses nationwide, with a significant portion of our practice focused on casino collections and commercial litigation in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

We are growing and seeking a Litigation Attorney licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with 5+ years of litigation experience, to join our Philadelphia office. This is a high impact role for an attorney who wants to handle a broad range of legal issues and the opportunity to manage a substantial litigation caseload. You will be part of a firm that values execution, responsiveness, and results.

Position Overview
In this role, you will take ownership of active litigation matters from start to finish, including:
• Managing casino related collections and litigation matters
• Drafting and arguing motions in state courts
• Appearing in court for hearings, conferences, and proceedings
• Handling all phases of discovery, including written discovery and depositions
• Conducting legal research and drafting briefs and legal memoranda
• Negotiating settlements and resolving matters efficiently on behalf of clients
• Managing a high-volume caseload with autonomy and accountability
• Collaborating with attorneys and staff to ensure strong case outcomes

Experience/Knowledge
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission in New Jersey and Pennsylvania (required), New York and Florida also helpful
• Litigation experience required (collections, creditor rights, or commercial litigation a plus)
• Strong courtroom presence and motion practice experience
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Professional, confident, and client facing demeanor
• Willingness to learn and expand into new practice areas as the firm grows
