SALARY: $121,847.68 to $170,581.04

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE: One (1)

DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Assistant Attorney General(s) of the Administrative Practice Group and/or the Director or Deputy Director of the Division of Law, will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Employment Counseling and Labor section. The Section chief will oversee the section’s representation of departments and agencies in hearings at the Office of Administrative Law, as well as labor-related cases in the State and federal courts; will oversee the section’s work on appeals related to the denial of unemployment benefits, and oversee the section’s representation of the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations in grievance arbitrations and allegations of unfair labor practices filed with the Public Employment Relations Commission. Will supervise complex matters and litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial work, and appellate briefings; will participate in evaluations of Assistant Section Chiefs and Deputies; and will perform other duties as assigned.
