NJSBA Solo and Small-Firm Conference – Greater Things for Profit and Your Practice in 2026

Presented in cooperation with the NJSBA Solo and Small-Firm Section

Opening remarks by Thomas J. Perry, Esq. and Richard F. Klineburger, III, Esq.

The premier event for solo and small-firm lawyers returns with an unforgettable weekend program!

Practicing as a solo and small-firm attorney can be both exhilarating and, sometimes, make you feel like you are battling otherworldly forces. Join us a for a weekend that’s an 11 on the scale of one to ten, as we present you with practical information that you will immediately be able to use on Monday morning.

The weekend begins on Friday night, Feb. 20 at Cuzin’s Seafood in New Brunswick at 6 p.m. with a special guest appearance and comedy set by Senator Jon Bramnick, New Jersey’s Funniest Lawyer!

Then, we will serve you dinner and get down to business with the featured topic of the evening – Insurance – How to Only Pay for What You Need. “Insurance” as an umbrella term seems so simple. Yet, we all know that the options are many and the choices are vexing. Spend an evening with insurance professionals as you hear about the necessities for every solo and small firm practitioner and additional options based on your practice area, firm size and lifestyle.

Then, spend Saturday, Feb. 21 at the New Jersey Law Center for a day that promises to help you earn more, save more and practice better! Power up your morning with a presentation on AI that includes the former Director of Operations at Google, a cutting-edge technology strategist, and two high-tech lawyers. They will show you how to harness technology to streamline operations, enhance compliance, and deliver exceptional client service.

Complete the morning by choosing from three breakout sessions tailored to your practice: Growing Your Practice Through Transactional Work: A Guide for Solos and Small Firms, Complex Business Litigation Track – A Decade Later or Mastering Case Management for the Modern Solo and Small Firm.

After lunch and the presentation of the Solo and Small Firm Practitioner of the Year Award, we are proud to present an afternoon that laser-focused on the business of running a small firm by building your practice, growing your practice and succeeding beyond the day-to-day.

The program includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday and ends with a cocktail reception so you can unwind and share your insights from the day with your colleagues.

Don’t miss this special weekend! Register for either day or both! Banish those monsters that drain you of money and energy. Greater things in 2026 await.
