Cancellation Policy
All requests for refunds must be in writing. For a full refund of registration fees, requests must be received on or before April 10. A $50 service fee will be deducted from each registration fee for refund requests received from April 11 through April 24. If a refund request is received from April 25 through May 8, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. Requests for refunds after May 8, will not be honored. Refunds will not be processed before June 3.

The convention Opening Business Session on Wednesday will shine a spotlight on: “Artificial Intelligence and the Impact on the Practice of Law.”

Dr. Chris Mattmann, president and founder of Mattmann.AI, LLC, author and expert in artificial intelligence, will give the keynote. Mattmann has worked with government aerospace, driving the creation of the first Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, and Innovative Development Organization within the government aerospace community. His contributions to the field have resulted in transformative contributions to technology and science.

An esteemed panel of luminaries from the New Jersey legal community will follow with a discussion of how issues related to AI are playing out in practice. Thomas P. Scrivo will moderate the discussion featuring insights from New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Jaynee LaVecchia (Ret.), U.S. District Court Judge Katherine B. Forrest (Ret.), Acting Administrative Director of the Administrative Office of the Courts Judge Glenn A. Grant, New Jersey Public Defender Jennifer Sellitti, and NJSBA President-Elect William H. Mergner Jr.

On Thursday, all attendees are invited to the Installation of Officers and Trustees. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Box Theatre and marks the swearing-in of William H. Mergner Jr. as the 2024-2025 president of the Association, and a farewell to Timothy F. McGoughran as the 2023-2024 president. In addition, the Executive Committee and the newest members of the Board of Trustees will take the oath of office.

Attendees will be able to choose from an array of seminars and earn up to 16 CLE credits. Topics span across business law, technology in the law, as well as encompassing ethics, diversity, equity and inclusion credits and certified civil trial credits. The three-day gathering will offer outstanding special events and networking opportunities.
