NEW BRUNSWICK – Today's Supreme Court decision regarding child relocation is a win for the NJSBA amicus program. Read the decision in Jaime Taormina Bisbing v. Glenn R. Bisbing III here.
The case centered on the question of whether the plaintiff, who did not have an attorney, made a clear, knowing and unmistakable waiver of statutory rights to have a court grant permission to relocate children.
Thanks to NJSBA Trustee Timothy McGoughran, Brian G. Paul, Derek M. Freed, and Albertina Webb for their efforts writing the NJSBA brief. Read the brief here.
