The NJSBA Criminal Law Section has created an annual award to recognize a practitioner who has made meaningful contributions to the field.
On an annual basis, the Criminal Law Section will honor one individual. The candidate must meet the following criteria:
• Be a present or past member of the Section
• Has made major contributions/service in the area of criminal law, with an emphasis on accomplishments during the term in which the award is presented
• Has made long-term contributions to the section and the practice of criminal law
All nominations will be reviewed by a committee consisting of two prosecutors and two defense attorneys, and a vote of the section will confirm the annual award.
The deadline to submit a nomination is April 11. The nomination form can be found here.
