NEW BRUNSWICK – The NJSBA filed as amicus in Moreland v. Parks, a case where the appellant is making a Portee v. Jaffee claim for emotional distress denied by the trial court because they are not the biological parent. The Association's focus in the matter is that a jury, rather than a judge, should be the decision maker in certain situations, including this one. Read the brief here.
