The New Jersey State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy fellows met in Trenton last week for a tour of the statehouse. There, Trenton insiders lectured the fellows about the current political climate in New Jersey and provided unique insight into the policymaking process. Speakers included Assemblywoman Annette Quijano, Executive Director of the Senate Republican Office Christine Shipley, government affairs agents William Maer and Patrick Stewart of Public Strategies Impact and Office of Legislative Services Section Chief Sheree Henderson.
The Leadership Academy provides intensive learning, career planning and networking opportunities essential to leadership in the bar, in the workplace and in the community. Graduating fellows of the academy have gone on to hold leadership positions within the NJSBA, including on the Board of Trustees. For more information about the program, go to njsba.com.
