NJSBA Seeks Amicus Status in Tort Claims Act Case

NEW BRUNSWICK – The NJSBA submitted an amicus brief in Nieves v. Office of the Public Defender, which is pending before the state Supreme Court. The case asks whether legal malpractice claims are exempt from the Tort Claims Act and the role of the verbal threshold in those matters.
