NEW BRUNSWICK – The NJSBA Board of Trustees approved participating as amicus curiae in Dimitrakopoulos v. Borrus, Goldin. The case questions whether a legal malpractice action is barred by the entire controversy doctrine when the malpractice claim was not raised in a previous collection action where a final judgment was entered.
This is a case that involves whether a malpractice complaint should be held to the two-year statute of limitations in Pennsylvania, or the six-year term in New Jersey.
