NJSBF Medal of Honor for 2023 presented to longtime Supreme Court Justice, prominent litigator

The New Jersey State Bar Foundation awarded the 2023 Medal of Honor, the Foundation’s most prestigious award, to retired New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Barry T. Albin and Lawrence S. Lustberg on Sept. 26. The pair were honored during a ceremony at the Park Chateau in East Brunswick that paid tribute to their exemplary careers and service to the legal community in New Jersey. Justice Albin left a lasting impact on the state’s legal landscape in his 20 years on the bench, improving the lives of New Jersey residents, businesses and organizations with his commitment to the fair administration of justice. Lustberg, an attorney of 40 years, stands in equal regard as a prominent figure in constitutional and criminal law and procedure, having argued many seminal federal and state cases on a broad range of topics.
