Since joining the firm, she has gained significant experience defending individuals in removal proceedings, representing individuals seeking to obtain relief from deportation, and affirmative applications to bring immigrants into the United States through family-based visas and employment visas. She also works closely with senior attorneys in the firm’s civil litigation and criminal defense practice groups.

nMs. Carreno is Chair of the Immigration Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, an organization focused on the interaction between United States immigration laws and other areas of law including family, criminal, labor and real estate. She participates in the Richard J. Hughes American Inn of Court and has been invited to lecture at the Inn and for the NJAJ Annual Meadowlands Conference and other organizations.
