Michael Witt and Dennis Galvin are back to provide a 2023 update about the law and developments in the field of local government attorney ethics.

Public office and employment by a public entity are roles within the public trust. The public relies upon the integrity of its elected and appointed representatives. Loss of that trust necessarily imperils the representative form of government.

New Jersey law creates standards for not only the faithful performance of public duties but also the appearance of having a lack of bias or risk of impropriety through the application of disclosure obligations.

The speakers welcome real-life scenarios and questions and will offer guidance on determining when a conflict of interest exists.
