Attorneys across practice areas should understand the breadth and scope of federal and state environmental law, which can have a significant impact on your clients and their needs. Whether you handle real estate or commercial matters, represent corporations or municipalities, laws intended to protect our environment and public health affect people and property throughout New Jersey.
As the environment and our relationship to it changes, so must our legal, regulatory and policy apparatus. This program will examine the foundations of environmental law and its application in a changing landscape, where the realities of climate change, the scarcity of land resources, the unmet need for environmental justice, and many other forces are challenging people, businesses, and governments to think bigger and behave differently.
Even if you have participated in an Introduction to Environmental Law in the past, join policymakers, attorneys, and environmental professionals for this crash course in environmental law and a thoughtful conversation about its future.
