Immigration trials are not your usual bench trials. Often times, they are shortened to an hour or two before the Court. Immigration Judges sometimes prefer to dispense with opening statements. Motion practice is limited. The Rules of Evidence are relaxed.

The Immigration Courts have a massive backlog of cases with trials often scheduled several years into the future. When the Immigration Judge finally schedules your client's final hearing, you must have a clear and concise case theory and convey that to the judge. You do not get much time, and so much is at stake.
Our informative program will show how to forcefully advocate for your client in the limited amount of time that you have.

Topics include:

  • Developing a case theory and proving it
  • Submitting Briefs
  • Handling witness and expert testimony-conducting direct and cross examinations
  • Virtual testimony
  • Best Practices
  • Appeals
