Job Description:
Bialkowski Law, LLC is seeking an attorney to join its growing New Jersey and New York construction, real estate, environmental, and business law practice. Our firm represents contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, property owners, and businesses in complex litigation, arbitration, mediation, transactional, and regulatory matters throughout New Jersey and New York. This position offers substantial client contact, courtroom experience, motion practice, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, contract drafting, and opportunities to work directly with experienced attorneys handling sophisticated construction and commercial disputes.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and assist with commercial and construction litigation matters from inception through resolution.
– Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
– Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses.
– Participate in depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and court appearances.
– Review and draft construction contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and related agreements.
– Assist clients with construction claims, payment disputes, public bidding issues, mechanic’s liens, bond claims, and contract administration matters.
– Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts.
-Support transactional and business matters as needed.Qualifications:
– Admission to practice in New Jersey and New York is required.
– Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
– Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
– Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
– Experience with litigation, construction law, commercial litigation, real estate, or business law is preferred but not required.
– Participation on a law review, journal, or similar legal publication is preferred.
– Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.Compensation & Benefits:
