Most New Jersey cases settle, and securing the best outcomes requires understanding every voice at the negotiating table.
The NJSBA’s 2026 ADR Day will detail the latest strategies to achieve better client outcomes in mediation, arbitration and settlement. Retired judges, mediators, arbitrators, in-house counsel, and plaintiff and defense attorneys will show you how to apply practical negotiation techniques to your daily practice. You will gain valuable insights into the mechanics of dispute resolution and how diverse perspectives influence the settlement process.
You will come away with the confidence to strengthen your advocacy and deliver results for every client.
Learn Strategies to Achieve Better Client Outcomes, Including:
- How to prepare your client and your case for a successful mediation.
- Practical negotiation techniques you can use immediately.
- How culture, customs and communication styles shape a dispute and its resolution.
- Ways to identify and address bias in the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) process.
- Strategies to select the right neutral and draw on a diverse roster of mediators and arbitrators.
Presented in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Dispute Resolution Section and the Justice Marie L. Garibaldi American Inn of Court.
