Attendees will also be welcome to attend the follow-up program: Artificial Intelligence Unleashed: A Technology Disruption No One Can Ignore, on Friday, December 15, 2023 from noon until 1:20 p.m., via ZOOM live webinar.
This interactive panel discussion will explore the current capabilities and innovative uses of artificial intelligence (AI), with a special focus on generative AI.
The panelists will highlight both “everyday” and “game-changing” AI across various sectors. For example, they will share how AI is being used to predict extreme weather conditions with unprecedented accuracy, to revolutionize healthcare by restoring body functions for paralyzed individuals, and to propel the automotive industry into the future with driverless car technology. What was once science fiction is fast becoming science fact. In terms of applicability to the court system, the panel will discuss possible uses of AI to improve access to justice and to facilitate efficient and informed resolution of legal disputes.
The panel also will share cautionary examples of bias in previous AI applications that lacked necessary guardrails. The experts will underscore the importance of adopting and maintaining an ethical approach to AI, especially in critical public service domains like the judiciary.
