Join this seminar to gain a comprehensive introduction to crimmigration, the complex intersection of criminal and immigration law. Immigration consequences due to criminal convictions can be severe. It is crucial that practitioners representing clients of various immigration statuses understand how criminal charges and plea deals may impact a client’s immigration status. The panel will address key concepts including removal law, immigration detention, and the implications of particular crimes.

Whether you’re new to criminal defense or immigration law, or simply need a refresher, this seminar will equip you with the skills necessary to effectively represent your clients.

Discussion topics:

  • Removal law
  • Immigration detention
  • Crimes of moral turpitude
