Beyond The Irrevocable Grantor Trust: How to Toggle Tax Treatment In Your IRT Planning to Improve Client Outcomes
This program will review the different tax structures of irrevocable trusts, between grantor vs non-grantor trusts, and estate-included vs. estate-excluded trusts. The program will discuss the mechanisms by which each of the structures are achieved, and the pros/cons of using each of the different mechanisms. Finally, the program will cover the advantages and disadvantages of the different structures with respect to achieving asset protection for long-term care planning and preferential tax outcomes.
