Building on our discussion at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting, the panel will examine how executive orders issued in 2025 have continued to affect colleges, universities, and other federally funded educational institutions. Experts in this area will share how institutions are adapting to implementation requirements, compliance challenges, emerging federal guidance and judicial decisions. We will provide insight into recent and pending litigation and explore how courts are responding to questions of enforceability. The conversation will also highlight broader implications for governance, funding, and institutional autonomy as the legal landscape continues to evolve.
