Claim or No Claim: A Professional Liability Showdown
This game show style session will address the differences between a “claim” and a “circumstance” that may result in a potential future claim under a professional liability policy. Attendees will learn the importance of this distinction along with the factors involved in deciding when to report a claim or a circumstance to a professional liability insurer. Finally, attendees will learn to assess issues related to timely notice and prior knowledge exclusions that can be encountered when reporting claims under professional liability policies.
The CLE meeting will be followed by a brief business meeting.
