Nationwide, one in every 4,618 housing units had a foreclosure filing in January 2025. New Jersey’s foreclosure rate was one in every 3,442 housing units, according to the U.S. Foreclosure Market Report by ATTOM, a curator of land, property and real estate data. (ATTOM, 2/2025)

The number of foreclosures in New Jersey continues to rise. This 2025 update provides you with an opportunity to gain a working knowledge of the current law and procedures to effectively represent homeowners or lenders involved in a mortgage foreclosure.
