Don't miss this opportunity to catch up on the Hot Topics in Residential Real Estate 2025 seminar you missed!
The year 2025 has been especially significant for residential real estate practitioners, with many changes that directly affect the practice. Amendments to the "Mansion Tax" and Controlling Interest Transfer Tax (CITT) took effect in July, requiring sellers to pay the tax on certain high-value property transfers and a new tiered tax rate. Additionally, New Jersey implemented the Real Estate Consumer Protection Enhancement Act, which mandates greater disclosure of property conditions and agent representation at open houses.
These are just a few of many impactful changes that alter the attorney’s role and obligations in residential real estate transactions.
Whether you are a general practitioner or solely handle real estate matters, you will not want to miss this practical replay on the most current laws, regulations, procedures and issues in the practice.
Make plans to register and learn how to deal with these situations in your practice.
Topics include:
- Updates to New Jersey’s Tax Sale Law – Maryann Flanigan Sutherland, Esq.
- New Requirements Under New Jersey’s Real Estate Consumer Protection Enhancement Act and How They Will Affect Your Practice - Conor J. Hennessey, Esq.
- Title Issues: Ghost Mortgages, Deed and Title Theft – John Pignetti
- 2025 Landlord-Tenant Updates: New Jersey Supreme Court September 2025 Rules Changes, DCA Rent Freeze Policy Change – Tracey Goldstein, Esq.
