The NJSBA asked the Judiciary to include family law attorneys from the Association in its evaluation of New Jersey’s new child custody statute. The new law changes New Jersey’s child custody procedures by requiring courts to consider a child’s expressed preferences in custody decisions and by establishing stricter standards for ordering therapy in custody cases.
