The New Jersey State Bar Association supportsĀ A-3734 (Murphy), which permits courts to order the transfer of billing responsibility for, and rights to, wireless telephone numbers to certain victims of domestic violence or stalking.
The bill would further permit the court, upon the victimās request, to order the defendant to reimburse the victim for any costs associated with the transfer incurred by the victim. The Association supports this bill as a strong measure to protect and support victims of domestic violence.
For the reasons set forth above, the New Jersey State Bar Association supports A-3734 and urges you to vote yes.
