Presented in cooperation with the NJSBA Immigration Law Section
The chaotic situations in Ukraine and Sudan, and the humanitarian crises in Haiti, Syria, and Venezuela, among others, have given rise to an increased awareness about the plight of refugees and asylum seekers. The complexities and difficulties of refugee/asylum law have been compounded by dizzying administrative changes, executive orders, and U.S. Supreme Court decisions during this Trump administration. This informative program is designed to help practitioners traverse the minefields in the asylum/refugee process and provide practical suggestions for counseling clients.
