Did you know that there is a difference between Generative Artificial Intelligence and the Artificial Intelligence (AI) that has been used in the scientific field for many years? This will be the first in a series of programs wherein the NJSBA intends to bring into focus the inherent risks and potential utility of generative artificial intelligence models.
Whether or not it is being used to any valuable effect, generative AI now appears ubiquitous in the business world. The historical use of statistical artificial intelligence in the healthcare industry has the rest of us playing catch-up. Generative AI is touted as a powerful tool and deserves thorough review and study. Professionals in the healthcare industry have taken the lead in this area and because of their experiences, possess practical knowledge of AI’s uses and the difference between tools that are based upon statistics and those which can only see similarities.
Michael Schaff, Esq., will moderate our panel of experts who will present valuable content which will include basic vocabulary and more in-depth discussion of what generative AI is and what it is not. Our presenters noticed that despite there being plenty of Generative AI instruction these days, there has been a notable lack of practical demonstration. This seminar will include a demonstration of the difference between statistical artificial intelligence and the use of a generative artificial intelligence tool using healthcare as context.
Our attendees will hear a past-present-future assessment of the ethics of using generative AI, including its immediate risks and benefits, as well as an outlook toward the future rewards of efficiency and value to the healthcare industry and law.
This seminar is the first in a series we hope will be useful to practitioners working in the healthcare field and those who simply want to learn from the healthcare industry’s relatively greater experience with Generative AI. We expect this content to draw attendees across the entire range of regulatory, transactional, litigators, in-house counsel, consultants, lobbyists and those who provide compliance services. We invite you to join us for this valuable presentation and discussion of generative AI and its future in the healthcare industry.
