Fast-Track Your MCLE Requirements With the NJSBA’s New Attorney Day!

Join us for “New Attorney Day,” a program designed to help newly admitted attorneys in New Jersey fast-track their Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) requirements.

Your Requirements: Effective January 1, 2024, new attorneys in New Jersey are required to earn 16 total credits in a minimum of six subject areas, including at least one credit in New Jersey attorney trust & business accounting fundamentals.

How it Works: Spend just one day attending programs and satisfy the rest of the requirement by watching video on demand.

First, register for the program - as an attendee, you’ll be able to choose from one morning session and one afternoon session on the day of the program.

Morning Sessions | 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.:

  • Intro to Family Law
  • Intro to Landlord Tenant Law - A Guide to Eviction Law in New Jersey
Our panel of experienced practitioners will walk you through a classic eviction proceeding and discuss what you need to know to prosecute and to defend residential landlord-tenant cases in New Jersey. You’ll learn the perspectives of both the landlord and tenant in a residential matter and pick up practice tips that will help you effectively represent your clients in the future.
    - Presenters: Jose G. Abreu, Esq. and Derek D. Reed, Esq.

Afternoon Sessions | 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.:

  • Intro to Estate Planning

Next, select from a variety of On-Demand programs to watch at your convenience to fully satisfy the remainder of your requirement (a selection form will be sent to you on the day of the program).
