In an era of widespread electronic fraud and cyber threats, protecting personal data privacy is necessary to prevent not only simple intrusion, but significant financial loss and even personal harm. Maintaining consumers’ rights to their own data and protecting children and at-risk adults from threats is even more complicated in the global marketplace.

In January, New Jersey became one of the latest states to enact legislation protecting consumer data by requiring notification to consumers of the collection, processing and disclosure of personal data by certain entities. Like Colorado’s law, New Jersey’s law not only requires notice of potential disclosure, but also provides an opportunity to opt-out of data collection and disclosure through a universal opt-out mechanism.

In this seminar, our expert presenters will offer attendees an overview of the new data security statute and cover the need-to-know processes and procedures critical to its application.  Please join us to learn more about the New Jersey Law on Consumer Data Privacy and its application in your business’ and its clients’ interests, as well as your family’s.
