The NJSBA Mid-Year Meeting will feature a selection of half- and full-day tours and experiences to help our members get the most out of their visit to Sorrento, Italy. There’s something for everyone – immerse yourself in Sorrento’s rich culinary history, experience the unique sights of our event, with a wine and cuisine journey, or take in the breathtaking beauty of Capri Island and the Amalfi Coast on a scenic tour.

All tours are subject to change or cancellation if minimum registration is not met. Save your place on these special outings today.

Sorrento Stroll, Lemon Secrets and Local Tastes 

Half-Day Tour
Wednesday Oct. 15, and Friday Oct. 17

  • 12:30 – 5 p.m.
  • $150 per person
  • Includes guided tours and light lunch

Join this fun tour blending culture, history and food. Stroll through the picturesque streets of Sorrento and visit a traditional lemon farm where you will learn about the local citrus growing tradition. There will be plenty of tasty bites along the way including fresh limoncello, marmalade, homemade lemonades and other regional specialties.

From the Garden to the Table: A Sorrento Cooking Class

Herculaneum: A Fascinating Glimpse into Ancient Roman Life

Take a ride to Herculaneum on the Bay of Naples, which was also destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79AD. When the volcanic ash hit, the homes were mostly empty and the residents perished while fleeing. Though less known than Pompeii, the city is a key site in Italian history and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The afternoon concludes with lunch at a local restaurant, savoring regional flavors.

Uncovering the Riches of Naples

This is a chance to take in the rich history of the unique city of Naples. Founded in the 9th century B.C., Naples is one of the most ancient continuously occupied cities in Europe. The excursion includes a guided tour of the impressive collection of the Naples Archaeological Museum, home to priceless Roman sculptures, mosaics and jewelry. The museum has over 3,000 artifacts from prehistory to late antiquity. The day continues with a walking tour through Naples’ historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, followed by a bus tour of the city’s most fascinating landmarks. Guests will also be treated to Naples’ famous cuisine at lunch.

Cancellations: Cancellations for tours must be received no later than August 6, 2025 . All tours booked and not cancelled by August 6, 2025, are non-refundable. If the minimum number of persons required to operate a private tour is not reached, the tour is subject to cancellation or a price revision to accommodate the actual number of participants. Tours cancelled by the NJSBA will be refunded. Seats for tours are limited and bookings made after August 6, 2025, are subject to availability.

Gratuities: Gratuities for tour guides and drivers are not included in the above prices and are at your discretion.
