NEW BRUNSWICK – Domenick Carmagnola, a Morris County labor and employment attorney, was sworn in last night as president-elect of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), the state’s largest association of judges, lawyers and legal professionals.
Carmagnola, of Carmagnola & Ritardi, LLC, is on track to become president of the Association in 2021. He said it has been an honor to be a part of the leadership of an organization that is the voice of the New Jersey legal community and does so much to promote diversity and inclusion, foster professionalism, provide educational opportunities, advance access to justice, and encourage participation in voluntary pro bono activities.
“I look forward to another year of service on behalf of the NJSBA's members. I am grateful for the many tremendous opportunities the NJSBA has provided to me during my legal career. It is an honor to serve this Association that has served my career so well and to work with employees who are not only truly committed to our organization and its mission, but are among the best at what they do,” he said.
Carmagnola is a certified civil trial attorney and concentrates his practice in the areas of labor and employment law, representing management and individual defendants in both the private and public sector. He has written numerous articles, contributed to several books, and is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment law matters and litigation.
His involvement in the NJSBA is extensive. He has previously served as trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, chair of its Labor and Employment Law Section and editor of the section’s publication. In addition to his NJSBA involvement, he is a former president of the Essex County Bar Association and the Sidney Reitman Labor and Employment Law American Inn of Court.
He lives on Cedar Lake in Denville with his wife, Gabriella, and two sons, Christopher and Michael.
