Important Mandatory Registration Change for 2016

Beginning January 1, 2016, the Supreme Court has Determined that all attorneys admitted to practice in New Jersey with a plenary license (Rule 1:27-1) or a limited, in-house counsel (IHC) license (Rule 1 :27 -2) are required to complete their annual attorney registration and pay the required annual fee online.
Paper registrations are no longer accepted (with limited exceptions). Read the entire Notice here.

Attorneys who fail to properly complete the online process and/or remit their annual attorney registration fee to the NJ Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection may be deemed “administratively ineligible” to practice law. The 2016 list of attorneys deemed administratively ineligible will be finalized in the near future.

How To Make Sure You Are Compliant:

To confirm you have properly completed your registration and remitted your annual fee, and do not appear on the list, visit the New Jersey Courts website here.
