We are a well-established and respected law firm that specializes in family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, alimony, domestic violence, and adoption. We have been serving clients in the State of New Jersey for over 20 years, and we pride ourselves on our professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
We are looking for an associate who has 3-5 years of family law experience in NJ and who can handle a diverse caseload with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, conducting legal research and analysis, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, appearing in court and mediation sessions, and assisting senior attorneys with complex cases.
To be eligible for this position, you must have:• A J.D. degree from an accredited law school and a valid license to practice law in the State of New Jersey with an absence of disciplinary history.
• Completion of all required CLE classes each year to remain in good standing with New Jersey Supreme Court rules.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with family law statutes, rules, and procedures in NJ and proficiency in using legal software and databases.As an associate, you will enjoy:
