Your Adversary Did What? Dealing with Disgraceful Conduct in Depositions and Elsewhere
Nov. 10 | 10 – 11:15 a.m. | Mozart
With the rise of digital communication, the 24/7 news cycle, and increasing divisiveness in our society, it is no wonder that we are seeing an increase in incivility. It happens at every stage of the process, from depositions to trials and can involve both clients and adversaries. Join us for a master class on how to handle difficult adversaries. This panel will consider examples of disturbing conduct during various stages of litigation, including depositions, hearings and trials. Looking at the conduct through the eyes of opposing counsel and the Court, panelists will discuss how best to respond (if at all) to conduct that is inconsistent with one of the fundamental principles of litigation: civility.
