Climate change has wrought havoc to people across the globe. However, the brunt of the burden has not been equally distributed. Indeed, a 2021 Environmental Protection Agency Report found that the most severe harms from climate change disproportionately affect underserved communities who are least able to prepare for, and recover from, heat waves, poor air quality, flooding, and other impacts.
