NEW BRUNSWICK – The New Jersey Supreme Court released its opinion in Meisels v. Fox Rothschild last week, and agreed with the conclusion advocated by the New Jersey State Bar Association that lawyers cannot be found to have breached any fiduciary duty or to have engaged in conversion if they are not aware of any third party claim on funds being held in a trust account on behalf of a bona fide client.
