The 2025 Women’s Leadership Conference brings together noted jurists and groundbreaking thought leaders for a day of insightful conversations, practical information and motivating guidance from women who have reached the pinnacle of their careers.

NJSBA President-Elect Christine A. Amalfe will lead you through the exciting program of thought-provoking panel discussions and networking. The program will feature an inspirational keynote address (more details soon!), a networking lunch and end with a reception with your peers. Don’t miss it!

Program Agenda:

  • 9:00 | Welcome from Christine A. Amalfe, Esq.

  • 9:05 | Show Me the Money
From the moment we begin our legal careers, we understand that becoming an equity partner is a goal. Yet, we are rarely told exactly what an equity partner is and why we would want to be one. In this kickoff presentation, equity partners will discuss what that status really means, provide insight into how they achieved profitability and success and reveal what they look for in up-and-coming attorneys.

  • 10:20 | Break to Visit Vendor Tables

  • 10:30 | Tips to Navigating Difficult Conversations about Pay
Talking about compensation is a difficult but important conversation to have in the profession, especially to keep women engaged at all levels. Learn insights and strategies to make those conversations productive and meaningful. This will include a discussion of your rights under the Diane B. Allen Equal Pay Act.

  • 11:45 | Lunch and Keynote Speaker To be Announced Soon!

  • 1:15 | Branching Out – Why You Should Leave Your Comfort Zone Inside and Outside the Office, and How to Do It
We all prefer to stay in our bubbles, but doing so can stunt our ability to meet new people, make connections and get more business. Learn the importance of branching out - from moving practice groups, starting a new firm, moving to a new job or joining an organization outside of the office - and how bursting that bubble can lead to greater success.

  • 2:15 | Break to Visit Vendor Tables

  • 2:25 | Lessons from Another Generation that Will Lead to Greatness
This is a unique opportunity to hear from women at various stages of their careers in one place. You will learn five things senior lawyers want their junior counterparts to know, along with five things Gen Z lawyers think the profession doesn't understand about how they work. It is also a chance to learn about the issues facing women at several career points, their concerns and strategies they employ in the profession.

  • 3:55 | Wrap Up

  • 4:00 | Conference Ends and Cocktail Party Begins
