Supreme Court Says Purchasing Keyword Searches of Competing Attorney Alone Does Not Violate RPCs, Contrary to NJSBA Arguments: 5/30/25 – This week’s Capitol Report covers the state Supreme Court’s decision finding that purchasing another attorney’s name as a search term for internet advertising does not constitute an ethics violation. The NJSBA opposes the practice as unethical, damaging to attorney reputations and misleading to the public.
