For over 150 years, great leaders around the world have been compared to President Lincoln.  Now, over 150 years after the Gettysburg address, the events of that time remain instrumental in teaching attorneys invaluable lessons about the practice of law.

NJICLE is pleased to bring you Lincoln as Lawyer and Leader, a unique opportunity to learn about President Lincoln, the famous cases he handled, his masterpiece, the 272-word Gettysburg Address, which is not only a model of conciseness, but is also fertile grounds for a better understanding and adaptation of the Rules of Professional Conduct, and more. Our legal panel will tie various timeframes in Lincoln’s life to legal practice today, showing as advocates, the role of the modern-day attorney in advancing Lincoln’s principles.  Purchasers will pick up tips on the importance of communication, responsibility, representation and client interaction.  In addition, you will discover an array of legal qualities from advocacy to timing, which impact the daily practice of law.
